Amesbury School Athletics Day - Results

image

The sun was shining, the birds were singing and our students were competing to the best of their abilities - another successful athletics day.

Last Wednesday, we had another day of exciting athletics performances. Some highlights from the day:

Arthur Truman making the sprint final for the Year 5 boys. He was absolutely elated by this achievement.

Callum Stevens wowing spectators and participants with his massive 60.90m throw in vortex. What a superb effort.

Gabriel Dunne nearly jumped 4m in long jump and cleared 1.18m in high jump.

Jack Downes, Levi Walmsley and Echelon Topp confusing Urs when they finished so close together in their short sprint heat. These three boys all have similar builds, heights and hair colour, especially when they are running so fast.

A big thank you to all the teachers and parents who helped out on the day. Your efforts made the day run smoothly and ensured we were finished on time.  Also, a big thank you to all the students who were absolutely amazing the whole day. We saw lots of wonderful competition, cheering and sportsmanship. You should be very proud of yourselves.

Attached are the results (first three place getters) and some photos from the day - thanks to Bobby Cao for taking and sharing these.
