Congratulations to Matt and Angela

Matt and Angela both separately received good news this week.

Angela
Angela had applied for a largely all-expenses-paid Principals' Delegation to China due to leave New Zealand for twelve days in October this year. She received the news this week that her application has been successful and she will travel to China with 9 - 10 other principals to look at schools, visit businesses, discuss the possibility of creating sister-school relationships and, of course, do some cultural things like Climb the Great Wall of China. The trip will take Angela to Beijing and Shanghai. This delegation is organised by the Confucius Institute and the purpose is to give schools which teach Asian languages some authentic, cultural experiences. Well done, Angela! We are very excited for you.

Matt
Last year Matt applied to attend the Google Certified Teacher Course in Sydney and he was one of 50 applicants out of 500 from around the world to be chosen to attend the course. He must have made such an impression that they have invited him back to be part of next year's programme as a lead learner (teacher). This time it will be an all-expenses -paid trip! Congrats Matt. We are proud of you.
