COMMUNITY NOTICES
·        ** Capital Harmony Chorus Open Night ** - Capital Harmony Chorus, who practices just down the road at Churton Park School, are looking for new members. If you love to sing and would like to know more, come along to their open night on Monday 16th June! See the attached flyer for more details.
·        ** Johnsonville Library Night Storytime ** - bring the kids and their favourite hat along to Johnsonville Library tonight at 6.30pm for night time story time at the library. Tonight’s theme is “Hats”.
·        A message from the Churton Park Community Association: "Have you had your say on the buses yet? Greater Wellington Regional Council has advised they will still receive submissions on Churton Park bus routes. It is important that your views are made known as the decisions made will impact the suburb for the next 15 years. The forms and maps to use are available on the Churton Park Community Association website or from the Community Centre Office. Go on - do it today. It does matter."
·        ** Reporting Crime to the Police ** - There have been a few anecdotal reports of petty crime occurring around Churton Park in the last few weeks. A gentle reminder from our local Community Constable that Police cannot act on anecdotal information - you need to report crime or suspicious behaviour to them so that they can follow it up. In addition, reporting crime to Police enables them to accurately assess trends in crime in a certain area in order to allocate resources. If you see anything that concerns you, the best number is the Police Operations Line: 04 381 2000.
·        ** Stebbings Road Planting Project ** - The Glenside Progressive Association has organised a landscaping project near the new Western Bridge on Stebbings Road. Preparation of the site is all done, they are now looking for a few volunteers to help with the planting on Saturday 7th and 14th June from 10am -12pm (weather permitting).

To keep up to date with what’s on at CPCC throughout the week, you can follow us on Facebook (www.facebook.com/ChurtonParkCommunityCentre). It’s publically available, so you can view it even if you don’t belong to Facebook.
Have yourselves a great weekend!
