Amesbury School Cross Country Friday 24th May 11:30am
Hopefully the weather will clear up for us this Friday for our school cross country race!
The weather is looking wet in the lead up to it, so please pack a set of non-uniform clothes for the children to run is, as they will get wet and muddy! Please pack a plastic bag for the wet/dirty clothes afterwards as well as good running shoes.
The races will start around 11.30am with a walk through of the course. The Yr 1's will race first (in a separate boys and girls group) followed by the Yr2, then 3, etc. up to Yr6. We have no idea how long each race will take, so we recommend you come earlier rather than later. The races should be finished by 12.30, 1pm at the latest.
We will try and run the event, especially for the Yr4-6 unless it is raining badly. I will put a post on this blog if it is to be postponed on Friday morning.
If you are coming to watch, the assembly area is on the netball courts. We ask that you please keep off all grassed areas as this is where the courses are.
We may need a few parent helpers on the day. If you can spare some time to help marshall etc. please let me know.
